What are your appointment hours?

All in-person appointments must be pre-scheduled and is currently available on Mondays from 12 – 5pm, Sundays from 10 – 2pm, and one Saturday each month from 12 – 5pm. You are always welcome to email me photos for a complimentary assessment to see if I can help with your issue.

What kind of appointment should I book?

Appointments are available for either a consultation only or consultation and procedure. If you have any technical issues using the GenBook online booking feature (such as password retrieval or reset), support is available by calling 844-817-0197 or emailing support@genbook.com.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

For any appointment, please come with a clean face so I can give you an approximate preview of what your new features can look like. After discussing any shape and style preferences, you will be matched with a pigment customized for your coloring and then drawn on similar to a makeup application. Once that is done then the number of visits for the procedure and a quote based on the desired end results can be provided.

Consultation appointments are $50 for a single procedure and $75 for multiple procedures. Quotes are guaranteed for 6 months and the fee for the consultation will be applied to the cost of your procedure.

Please note that a consultation does not allow time for the actual procedure (except in the event there’s been a last minute cancellation with the next appointment). If you want to make sure that you can begin one or more procedures immediately after your consultation, you can save a trip and the additional wait time by selecting New Cosmetic Tattoo Work for either 1, 2 or 3 procedures. A thorough consultation is always part of the appointment for any New Cosmetic Tattoo Work.

Special needs or circumstances (medications, sensitivity, pregnant/nursing, etc.)

Are you super sensitive? Ample topical numbing solution is always used and is usually sufficient for most people. However if you are particularly sensitive it may be helpful to take something prior to your procedure that you would normally take for discomfort. An OTC topical anesthetic such as 4% or 5% L.M.X. may also help with brows if applied an hour prior to your procedure.

Please refrain from taking any blood thinning supplements such as fish oils and Vitamin E and discretionary blood pressure medication such as spironolactone for at least 2 weeks before your procedure as they may contribute excessive bleeding which then impedes the pigment from taking hold in the skin.

Pregnant or nursing? Please make sure that you have your OBGYN or the pediatrician’s signed consent for your procedure otherwise I will not be able to work on you.

Follow Up Appointments

Please also consider scheduling your follow up visits as soon as possible to avoid a longer than necessary wait as appointments can fill up well in advance. If this is your first visit for getting any cosmetic tattoo at JuvEssentials, keep in mind that you will need at least 1 follow up visit to complete your procedure. With eyebrows more than 95% of clients will need 2 follow ups while the lash enhancement and lip enhancement require 1 follow up visit (subsequent visits thereafter will continue to add more color and volume).  Brows and eyes require as little as 3 weeks in between visits while lips require 6 weeks. If you do not see an appointment as soon as you would like, I recommend checking my schedule often for openings should they become available as well as booking the next available appointment so at least you have something set that can be moved up whenever there is an opening.

Transportation & Parking

For public transportation, the Powell Street BART/MUNI station is a 4 block walk north on Powell Street and then one block going left to 490 Post Street.

For garage parking, the closest is the 520 Mason Street Garage located around the corner from the 490 Post street building. Along with metered street parking, the closest public garage is Union Square Garage just one and a half blocks away underneath Union Square on Post Street between Powell and Stockton streets.

Rescheduling and Cancellations

When booking an appointment online, a credit card deposit via a secure server will be required to hold your appointment which may be used for no-shows, late cancellations, or any other unexpected change in plans without prior notice. In light of COVID-19, the regular 48 hour cancellation policy is suspended to allow for any changes in health status prior to your appointment. If there are any signs that you’re not feeling well leading up to the day of the appointment, I will be happy to reschedule in order to prioritize everyone’s safety. If you need to cancel or reschedule for any other reason, I still kindly ask for at least 48 hours notice in order to have sufficient time to fill the vacancy. In the event that an appointment cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours notice can be still filled with someone off the waitlist, the deposit will not be charged.

If you are significantly late for an appointment, your procedure may need to be rescheduled because the lost time cannot be easily made up and be given the same quality of work without compromising the extra time now required for sanitizing and running into someone else’s appointment. If rescheduling becomes necessary then the cancellation fee will apply. If you expect to be running late however, please call and let me know and I will do my best to see if I can try to switch your appointment with a later one.

Everyone’s time is valuable so I appreciate the courtesy to myself and other clients.

I look forward to seeing you,
