Magnetic Tattoo Removal was brought to my attention by a client seeking help with her eyebrow tattoos that had been removed over a couple of sessions with this method and now the entire eyebrow area was discolored. Upon doing some research based on the online reviews of others who have also had experience with this tattoo removal method, I discovered that it is marketed as a non-invasive, pain-free, easy and effortless removal using “magnetic needles” and serums. The claims do not in fact appear to be true and instead the process works much like regular non-laser tattoo removal in having to puncture the surface of the skin while using a removal solution that extracts the ink. It also appears that the serums that the company marketing Magnetic Tattoo Removal uses is identical in composition to the patented Rejuvi removal solution which can be used with virtually any tattoo needles. In short, there is no completely non-invasive, pain-free, miracle removal method for getting rid of unwanted ink in the skin. In fact, the more invasive tattoo removal methods such as laser tattoo removal, dermabrasion, and surgical excision may have a risk of permanent scarring and other undesirable side effects such as discoloration.
